March 2021 security update rolling out for more Huawei Nova 5T users
Last month, Huawei sent a new software update for the Huawei Nova 5T phone that brought it a new security patch of March 2021. At that time, the rollout was limited to some users and now it’s expanding more Nova 5T owners.
After EMUI 11 rollout, Huawei has begun sending a new software update for Nova 5T smartphone users. With the help of the changelog, we can find that this software update for the Huawei Nova 5T improves system security with patches released in March 2021.
Information reveals that the March 2021 security patch fixes the different levels of exploits and issues including 2 critical, 13 high, and 132 medium levels of CVEs. These patches help your phone to fight against potential threats and keep your data safe.
EMUI 11 status:
Huawei is almost done with EMUI 11 major update rollout for Nova 5T devices across the globe. As of now, this latest custom software skin reached the UK, Europe, South East Asia, Latin America, and more are still upgrading to EMUI 11.
EMUI 11 features include the new user interface and changes as smoother animations, better multitasking, improved multi-screen collaboration, and other features.

New EMUI Version:
Huawei Nova 5T smartphone users start receiving EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.143 with an OTA update package size of 245MB.

March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.
Before you upgrade:
- We recommend you take a backup of your important data.
- Use a stable connection to download the update package.
- Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.
HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
You can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
