Huawei recently announced that many enterprises started adapting to HarmonyOS native office apps. With the new software system, the Chinese tech giant aims to eliminate the dominance of Android and iOS applications in its home ground.

The company shared the news via the official ‘HarmonyOS Developer’ page. Details reveal that Huawei held the Beijing HarmonyOS Ecosystem Partner Conference on August 6th. At the event, the OEM shed light on the HarmonyOS native apps’ progress.

Huawei said that many state-owned and central enterprises shifted to the HarmonyOS app ecosystem this year. Several internal office apps of leading industries have started adapting to the HarmonyOS NEXT app versions for a true experience.

At the same event, enterprises like Guotou Human Resources Service Co., Ltd., Shougang Group Co., Ltd., Bank of Beijing Co., Ltd., Beijing BG Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and more announced the launch of HarmonyOS native office apps development.

Huawei further stated that HarmonyOS native apps have many innovative features. The list includes seamless interconnectivity, quick cross-device linking, file encryption, and more. These capabilities enhance the overall app experience for users.

For instance, users can easily sync, edit, or make alterations to a computer file on their phones. They can also cast content from their phone/tablet on the smart TV in no time. It simplifies the collaboration at the meetings via video calls.

The company adds that HarmonyOS native office apps run on tech + innovation format. It refers to better security while maintaining the link with colleagues or others. These apps follow single-device security, multi-device security to multi-person, as well as system-level file encryption for a safer file-sharing process.

HarmonyOS NEXT-based app development is in full swing. More than HarmonyOS native 1500 applications are already available on AppGallery. With the HarmonyOS NEXT stable release, the company may launch more apps for consumers.

The Chinese tech giant sights on developing an Android-free app ecosystem in its native region. It has phased out Android components from its software system. Moving forward, the company is ensuring the same treatment for apps as well.
