According to the information coming from SammyFans, Samsung has made a major shift in software updates policy for its smartphone that will now support 4 years of major updates. This is a huge development that is now making its way to Samsung smartphone users.

However, that’s not the only thing that you need to know about this news, there’s more. Samsung is also going to give up to 5 years of security patches for the corresponding consumers. This is quite a breaking stuff that’s coming out from Samsung and ready to pump the expectations of Samsung device fans.

Before 2020, Samsung has been offering 2 years of Android version and 3 years of security patches. However, in 2020, Samsung made another major jump in terms of providing new software. Thereafter, the company started delivering 3 years of Android and 4 years of security patch support.

Although, it was already a big gift of software updates but the phone maker made another jump in the software section, and in 2021, this count of update feeding ramped up to the 3 years of a major upgrade and up to 4 years of security patches.
