Magic UI 3.0 rollout for Honor 20, 20 Pro and View20 expanding widely
It all began in November last year when Honor started sending the stable Magic UI 3.0 for Honor 20 series devices and View View20/V20.
At that time, some of the markets received this new upgrade, which is made on top of Android 10. Later on, in January 2020, the company temporarily paused the rollout due to additional improvements.
Following in February, the Honor resumed the upgrade for all three devices starting from India, which we’ve confirmed expanding in the markets in the global markets from Asia, Middle East, South America, and Europe regions.
Versions:
The Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, Honor View20 receiving Magic UI 3 with version 10.0.0.184, in some markets it’s 186/180/179. While the size of these OTA’s noted above 4.5GB.

How to update:
Via HiCare:
- Open HiCare app
- Click on ‘Services’ tab
- Click on ‘Update’
- Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
- Click on ‘Download and install’
Via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on ‘‘System’’
- Click on ‘Software update’
- Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
- Click on ‘Download and install’
Magic UI 3.0:
Magic UI 3.0 brings new changes in the UX design including Magazine Style UI layout, Morandi Colors, Dark Mode, Golden Icons, New Animations, Improved privacy features.
Magic UI 3.0 also improves software enhancements including GPU Turbo technology improving graphics processing by 60%, while Link Turbo lets smartphones access multiple networks like 4G and WiFi to provide 70% faster network speed. EROFS super file system improves Android’s random read by 20%, and additionally, the Ark Compiler also smooths third-party applications by 60%.
