Long queues appeared outside Huawei stores for Mate 70 series
Long queues have allegedly appeared outside many Huawei stores for the Mate 70 series. Thousands of customers arrived at the company’s official stores to have a glimpse at the new devices and explore them ahead of its unveiling on November 26.
Huawei today opened the Mate 70 series reservations. The pre-order figure has crossed 1 million units within an hour. The device already seems to be in huge demand.
But something more interesting here is the long queues allegedly spotted outside the Huawei stores for Mate 70 phones. Inputs reveal several people gathered in the Huawei stores in many cities to reserve the device offline, before its launch.
A few netizens on Weibo also pointed out that the Huawei Mate 70 series has already started getting attention and support in tons. Here’s what some customers said:
“Today it (Mate 70) is not on sale, but there are already so many people. Everyone is so enthusiastic.”
“One of the offline stores made 300000 reservations in a few minutes. This time it may take a long time to reach everyone.” (via)
Note that reservations refer to the device’s pre-booking. Those who visit the offline stores and book the device in advance will be notified to buy it after the launch.
Such consumers will be further prioritized while shipping the devices (they will be the first to get the phone). However, it would be worth seeing if the company delivers all the booked models on time or may end up with a tight supply situation.
It’s not the first time when long queues have emerged to grab Mate models. The conditions were the same with the Mate 50 and Mate 60 handsets. But this time, the queues have reportedly appeared days before the official launch.
Mate 70 will likely bring amazing tech-pack upgrades over the previous-gen models. It is ready to give tough spots to its rivals in the market with enormous capabilities.
