LLM AI Huawei Celia voice assistant beta test begins
Today, Huawei began the beta test of the large language model (LLM) based Celia voice assistant in smartphones. The company recruited new testers right after the release of the Huawei Mate 60 series models.
According to the recruitment details, Huawei Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, P60, and P60 Pro users can participate in the test activity. To do so, the Chinese models of these two devices can sign up for the beta using the Huawei Members Center app.
Announced on August 4th, the new Celia assistant uses advanced algorithms and AI processing power to make general user interactions. The new version of this Huawei voice assistant can communicate in a more natural way of conversations than its predecessor.
For example, Celia can now change your phone’s wallpaper to specific based on your command. There are plenty of other scenarios, in which Celia has improved and understands you better. Interestingly, Celia can also perform advanced tasks such as writing text descriptions using generative AI tech.
In the background, Huawei is using its own Pangu Large Language model to empower Celia.
The latest beta test will allow Huawei users to experience Celia voice assistant and its generative AI prowess ahead of the full releases. It will also help developers to gain feedback and improve the software for a fully functional public launch.
