Leak suggests 6 lens opening in the Octagon camera design of Huawei Mate 40 series

Huawei Mate 40 series will launch on October 22, Huawei has started generating the pre-launch heat with the release of Mate 40 series teasers.

Meanwhile, tipster DigitalChatStation has come up with a new leak regarding the Huawei Mate 40 lineup, which shows its camera module part with various lens openings. According to the images, it has at least 6 big and other small cutouts.

The 6 camera opening likely to be for 6 lenses including two telephotos, one ToF camera, or even a temperature sensor. It’s more likely to be a 5 camera setup and leaving a place for an LED flash making it a total of 6 big openings and to be equipped on the top model – Mate 40 Pro+. Still, we don’t have any official confirmation on the setup configuration at the moment.

Also, the module has an Octagon shape, similar to what we’ve seen in a recent official teaser. Aside from every other aspect of this upcoming flagship, one thing is clear that Huawei has made this smartphone quite powerful in terms of camera specifications and we’ll have just to wait one more week to see its unveiling.
