Leak reveals Huawei Watch Fit 3 may not have pre-install WeChat app

Huawei Watch Fit 3 will launch in China on May 15 and a new leak is here saying that the approaching wearable may not come with a pre-installed WeChat app. A retail store explored the device ahead of its launch and shared some details in advance.

Blogger @UncleKanshan on Weibo shared the packaging box of the new Huawei Watch Fit 3 Chinese variant. The front part of the box hypes the latest wrist gadget whereas the back side consists of key details and parameters of the device.

These images come from the courtesy of a third-party retail store. Exploring the device, the store found that Huawei Watch Fit 3 doesn’t come with a pre-install WeChat watch app.

Some other netizens also shared the packaging details on the social media platform and mentioned the details that say – ‘There is still no WeChat’.

Huawei has served the WeChat watch app to various wearables such as the Watch 3 Pro, Watch GT 3, and more. Even though these devices were flagship wrist gadgets, they didn’t arrive with a pre-install WeChat app and received it via OTA upgrades.

Thus we can find the same treatment for the Watch Fit 3 in the coming time. Things are currently under the hood and we need to wait to get the reality check.

Just like any other messaging app, the WeChat application enables smartwatch users to send and receive messages, use auto-voice-to-text conversion, picture messages viewing, audio messages replay, and several other significant capabilities.

It lets you operate the app on your wrist gadget similar to your handset. Hence we may find the same messaging facility for the Watch Fit 3 in the time ahead.

The package details further show around 12 main characteristics of the device including a better display panel, ultra-thin body, strong battery life, workout modes, health management, and more. However, pricing and more details will be out on May 15.
