Huawei Watch D2 medical device license

Huawei Watch D2 is in the making and the wearable has now received the Chinese medical device license. The device has been in launch rumors for last year. It seems the company will finally unveil it in the coming months or with the Mate 70 flagship.

A Chinese Medical Device License is an approval certificate that allows a company to sell its medical devices or equipment in China. A tech vendor has to register in the respective medical database before marketing its medical product in the region.

Weibo tipster @UncleKanshan reveals that Huawei Watch D2 has received the Chinese medical device license. Under the new listing, the device is named “Wrist Ambulatory Blood Pressure Recorder” implying that it’s the 2nd-gen Watch D.

There are three watch variants on the list with model numbers LCA-B10, LCA-B11, and LCA-B12. Note that the license doesn’t reveal the device’s name. But from the description and model numbers, it is clear that the certificate is for Watch D2.

Looking into the license, the wearable has a main unit, a wristband, and a wireless charging base. The wristband supports an airbag. Further inputs say that the smartwatch can easily measure, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate in a static state (for 18+) of the human body.

One can take these tests once or several times in 24 hours for a precise health report. Other features of the device are unknown. Yet, the latest revelation hints that the Watch D2 is on the way and may hit the consumer platform in the upcoming months.

First-gen Watch D

Huawei Watch D features a 2.5D curved display with a box-like design. It supports a 1.64-inch AMOLED color screen with a resolution of 456 x 280 pixels. The write gadget uses a durable aluminum alloy frame with two handy buttons to work easily.

Watch D comes with several health features like Smart Blood Pressure reminders, daily health check-ins, Care for the entire family, ECG analysis, as well as TruSeen 5.0+. On a one-time charge, the device can run up to 7 days in typical usage.

It would be worth seeing what new upgrades the next-gen smartwatch brings to the table.
