Leak reveals Huawei P40 Pro’s camera specifications
Huawei’s P-series smartphones have always highlighted the company’s core capabilities in smartphone camera technologies and a new leak hints that the upcoming P40 series will continue this legacy.
A well-known tipster from Weibo has revealed some of the camera specs for the Huawei P40 Pro including the main sensor, and camera color matrix.
It’s expected that the Huawei P40 Pro will come with a custom IMX700 CMOS sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size and 1.22 μm pixel unit.
The sensor will adopt the RYYB color filter, which will help it pass more light to the main sensor for brighter images in low light scenarios. While the main camera will be 52 Megapixel.
According to the previous reports, the top model of Huawei P40 series will come with five rear cameras consisting of a 52MP main camera, a 40MP Cine camera/ultra wide-angle camera, a Periscope Telephoto camera with 10X optical zoom, a 3X telephoto camera, and a ToF camera.
According to Teme, the phone could also feature a Color temperature sensor and a microphone. However, we’ll have to find out what this big camera setup really contains.
As announced by the company, the Huawei P40 series will launch on March 26, in Paris, France.
