Leak hints Huawei Watch GT 5 series coming soon
Huawei seemingly has some incredible wearables in the pipeline for this year, and one of them could be the Watch GT 5 series. A new leak has given a few signs that say the respective wearable is on the way and may soon land on the consumer ground.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus shared his experience with an alleged sports watch series. He says that the new wearable is pre-installed with the HarmonyOS NEXT OS.
The summary of the leak describes that the Huawei Watch GT 5 series is coming soon. With HarmonyOS NEXT, the overall functioning of the wearable will be smoother and more effective than the current 4.2 software version.

The launch time of the new sports smartwatch is unknown. Although the adaptation of HarmonyOS NEXT hints that Watch GT 5 series could launch in the fourth quarter of this year. We may also find it sharing the stage with the Mate 70 flagship.

HarmonyOS NEXT is currently running in the beta stage. Yet it’s said to be way better, smoother, faster, and more secure than other HarmonyOS version. This time, Huawei aimed to uplift the software experience to the next level with its new development.
Huawei has already confirmed that it won’t launch a Pro model for the Watch GT 4 series. Hence, there are chances to see a new GT wearable later this year.
Watch GT 4 is available in two sizes: 46mm and 41mm. The former measures 140-210mm in wrist size with 48 grams weight. Whereas, the latter has a wrist size of 120-190mm and weighs 37 grams. Both variants also differ in screen sizes.
The wearable has a stainless steel body with a rotating crown as well as a side button. It supports wireless charging and has a long-lasting battery life. It can run for 2 weeks straight under normal use and is compatible with HarmonyOS, iOS, and Android.
