Leak hints Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 may bring many new upgrades
A new leak says that Huawei will bring several upgrades to its new-gen FreeBuds Pro 4. With the upcoming earbuds, the company will likely enhance performance, battery life, and noise reduction capability. It may also pre-install HarmonyOS NEXT.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that Huawei is developing FreeBuds Pro 4 as per the consumer suggestions. The company is considering advanced features and solutions based on user feedback about the previous-generation earphones.
Leak notes that the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 could feature multi-device compatibility. It may adopt HarmonyOS NEXT to bring an exciting range of capabilities and services.
The features list might include a new hearing health monitoring function, customized pop-up windows while connecting earbuds to a device, and personalized hearing optimizations.
Bone voiceprint recognition could be another useful addition. It is a kind of biometric tech that cooperates with AI to complete identity verification in one sentence. When in action, it combines voice and bone sound patterns to provide biometric recognition.

The significant functionality is already implemented in the FreeBuds 3 and 2 devices. Perhaps, Huawei may continue to use it for the upcoming earbuds as well.
Celia assistant will likely become smarter with the FreeBuds Pro 4. The tipster mentions that users will be able to manage various tasks by using voice commands. Just say ‘Turn on/off the noise reduction mode’ or ‘Answer the call’.
Although these features are still in consideration and Huawei has not confirmed the news yet. Hence, it would be better to take this input with a grain of salt for the moment.

The new audio device is expected to come with the HarmonyOS NEXT out of the box. Thus, we might see it on the launch stage by the fourth quarter of this year.
It is unclear if the FreeBuds Pro 4 will continue the same design as its predecessors or will bring a new form factor. But if the current leak is accurate, we may find major changes with the upcoming audio wearable over the previous-gen models.
