Ken Hu takes on Huawei Rotating Chairman tenure [April 1 to Sep 30, 2022]

Huawei has confirmed that the company has appointed Mr. Ken Hu as the new Rotating and Acting Chairman of Huawei from April 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022. During this tenure, Ken Hu will be responsible for the company’s growth while being in the top position and head of the board of Directors and its Executive Committee.

Ken Hu:

Ken Hu is currently the vice-chairman, the rotating chairman of Huawei, a member of the company’s executive board, and chairman of the Global Network Security and User Privacy Protection Committee. With more than 30 years of experience in the ICT industry, he has played an important role in Huawei’s strategic direction and global market expansion.

Hu joined Huawei in 1990 and has served as President of the China Marketing Department, President of the Latin America Region, President of the Global Sales Department, Chairman of Huawei USA, President of Sales and Service, and President of Strategy and Marketing. In the process, he helped Huawei establish a global sales and service network, and played a key role in promoting Huawei’s global transformation.

From October 2011 to March 2018, he served as the rotating CEO of Huawei, responsible for the company’s continuous business development and internal management optimization. He used to be the director of Huawei’s Human Resource Management Committee, responsible for the company’s leadership and organizational development.

Over the years, it has actively promoted technological innovation to promote connectivity, inclusive growth, and social progress. He is currently a representative of the APEC Business Advisory Council, a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, and a member of the Digital Communication Industry Working Committee.

He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree and holds an EMBA degree from CEIBS International Business Students.
