January 2024 security update rolling out for Huawei Watch GT 3 users
January 2024 security update began to roll out for Huawei Watch GT 3 wearable users. The firmware is available to a handful of smartwatch owners in the global market. Meanwhile, the company will initiate a wider rollout in the coming days.
The Huawei Watch GT 3 receives the January 2024 update with the HarmonyOS version 3.0.0.172. Users with the respective wrist gadget need to download a software package of 277 Megabytes to install the latest patch conveniently.

The latest addition eliminates a variety of hidden bugs and issues from the device’s system. Besides, it increases the potential capability of the smartwatch to fight against harmful bugs and privacy threats and enhances the safety aspects.

HarmonyOS 4.0 When?
HarmonyOS 4.0 closed beta is making its way to the Watch GT 3 series in China. The new version is full of exciting features and optimizations that can boost the overall smartwatch experience. However, such a treatment is missing for global users.
Though the company has not defined a specific date to release the major upgrade for the global units. We hope to see the HarmonyOS 4 version on the global surface in the time ahead.
