HyperOS 2.0 may bring hidden camera detection tool for Xiaomi devices
Xiaomi will unveil HyperOS 2.0 with several significant features and one of them could be a “hidden camera detection” tool. It would be a perfect security tool for users and ensure immense safety against certain cyber issues and risk factors.
According to the information, the Xiaomi Civi manager – Cici has been using the MIX Fold 4 foldable. While exploring the device, she noted the hidden camera detection feature in the HyperOS 2.0 security app and tried to test it.
Inputs further reveal that the feature relies on certain smart algorithms and WLAN services that help it detect camera signals in a particular area. As soon as the feature detects any signals emitted by the camera, it alerts the user about it.
Simply put, the feature will recognize any hidden cameras in the room via the WLAN signals. In an era, where technology is becoming both safe and dangerous for users, HyperOS 2.0 has a new tool that prevents security threats in unknown areas.
The new feature is quite similar to an online tool called “Ingram”. It is not clear whether Xiaomi will release the significant feature with HyperOS 2.0 for all devices or keep it confined to the top-end models. Though we may get details in future.
HyperOS 2.0 will not only enhance the performance or UI aspects of a device but also add better safety tools and powerful privacy control services.
There would be more such features in HyperOS 2.0 that will ultimately enhance the overall user experience. These features are currently under the hood. But the company may unveil them alongside the Xiaomi 15 series or in the coming days.
