Huawei’s H1 2023 operating profit climbs 218% on year

Huawei has shared the 2023 semi-annual business report, which reveals revenue of 308.290405 billion yuan, compared with 298.679722 billion yuan in the same period last year.

Huawei has gained an operating profit of 52.315402 billion yuan, compared with 16.778348 billion yuan in the same period last year. The total profit of 52.15788 billion yuan, compared with 16.876671 billion yuan in the same period last year.

In the same period last year, it was 14.629236 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of approximately 218.01%.

Huawei’s net profit attributable to owners of the parent company in the first half of this year reached 46.445 billion yuan. But it was only 14.566755 billion yuan in the same period last year. In the first half of this year, Huawei’s minority shareholders’ profits and losses were 77.777 million yuan.

Data shows that Huawei has continued to invest in research and development this year. In the first half of 2023, research and development expenses reached 82.603873 billion yuan, compared with 79.062946 billion yuan in the same period last year, it is a year-on-year increase of approximately 3.541 billion yuan.

In the first half of this year, Huawei’s cash payments to and for employees reached 114.509762 billion yuan, compared with 115.616232 billion yuan in the same period last year.
