Huawei Y9 Prime and Y9s on EMUI 10 grabbing March security update

The EMUI 10 for Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 and Y9s still yet to reach in a few markets. However, most of the users have already got this major upgrade to enjoy the latest features offered by EMUI 10.0.

And now it’s time for Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 and Y9s, on EMUI 10.0, to get a new software update with latest security fixes. However, there are no additional improvements noted in the changelog.

Changes in this update:

This update improves system security with Android security patches.

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in March 2020 for improved system security.

The March 2020 EMUI security includes Google security patches and fixes for 2 critical and 20 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 and Y9s EMUI versions:

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 receiving the March 2020 update with EMUI version 10.0.0.198 and a size of 103 MB.

On the other hand, Huawei Y9s getting March security with EMUI 10.0.0.200 and 104MB of software size.

Note: EMUI version and size may vary depending on the country/region. The update is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time/days to reach your device.

CHECK FOR THE UPDATE:

1. Open Support app
2. Click on ‘Services’ tab
3. Click on ‘Update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’
