Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 getting EMUI 9.1 Update with EROFS, GPU Turbo 3.0

Huawei is rolling out the EMUI 9.1 update to Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 in India. The latest update brings improved performance, new wallpapers and icons, GPU Turbo 3.0, EROFS and much more.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 has a 16MP front Pop-up front camera with f/2.2 aperture and comes with 16MP+8MP+2MP triple rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, f/2.4 aperture, and f/2.4 aperture respectively.

The smartphone has a 4000 mAh powerful battery and a new and improved smart power-saving processor – the Kirin 710 octa-core chipset. Along with being sold exclusively on Amazon India, the new Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 will also be available in close to 1000 retail stores across all major cities.

If you want to check for the update manually you can do this by following the instruction:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

If the update does not appear in the settings, we recommend you to request it via HiCare App: Go to HiCare app > tap on Update > click on the checkbox and hit Apply.
