Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 (EMUI 10) receiving new apps and system improvement update
The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is receiving a new software update with improved system stability and a number of new apps. Two weeks ago, Huawei rolled out June 2021 security update for the device, yet the latest addition is an incremental firmware.
For your information, the latest Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 update lands with EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.420 and a software package size of 269MB. The changelog of this update reveals system stability improvements and apps including:
- Petal Search
- Books
- Petal Maps
- GameCenter
- Member Center
However, these apps only come as an installation shortcut, and users will require to touch to download the corresponding app.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019:
Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 comes with a 6.59-inch LCD full view display with fullHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels), the device has 4GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage that can expand up to 512GB via memory card.
It has a pop-up selfie camera, which is embraced by consumers. The rear side consist of a triple camera system – 16MP + 8MP + 2MP. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery.
In terms of processing, the Y9 Prime 2019 is powered by a Kirin 710F processor and runs EMUI 9.0 (Android 9) out of the box but it’s upgradable to EMUI 10 (Android 10). However, it didn’t upgrade over EMUI 10.1 or EMUI 11.
