Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 began collecting February 2021 security improvements
Huawei has started sending a new software update for the Y9 Prime 2019 smartphone, which installs the security patch released in February 2021. This update fixes different levels of exploits and issues to defend your smartphone against threats.
On the other hand, everyone knows that Huawei is good at taking care of its device especially old once in terms of security improvements, features as well as software upgrades, and more to provide enhanced user experience.
About Huawei Y9 Prime 2019:
Huawei Y9 was initially launched with EMUI 9.1 mobile software and further received EMUI 10 upgrade. To date the company has not announced any above major builds for this device.
However, this device is eligible to get EMUI 10.1 and EMUI 11 upgrades but the company has not made any announcement whether this model will receive the latest EMUI version or not.

- Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 getting EMUI 10.0.0.369 upgraded from 10.0.0.361 with an update size of 113MB.

February 2021 Security Patch Details: This February 2021 security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei smartphones including 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs.
HOW TO INSTALL:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
