Huawei Y9 2019 users files petition for EMUI 10, signed by over 1600 peoples
Huawei has denied addressing some of the last year’s smartphones with EMUI 10 including Huawei Y9 2019. As a reply to the Chinese tech giant users of this phone decided to file a petition on this matter.
A month ago, users of Huawei Y9 2019 started a petition on Change.org for EMUI 10 and after a month, over 1600 people have signed this petition and the numbers are still growing.
The Huawei Y9 2019 released running EMUI 8.2 (Android 8.1) onboard and upgraded with EMUI 9.1 (Android 9). However, the company has refused to permit EMUI 10 for this device for the following reason.
“We regret to inform you that EMUI 10.0 / Android 10 will not be available for Huawei Y9 2019 due to hardware limitations, as it requires higher hardware specifications for optimal performance“ Huawei.
Launched in early 2019, this phone features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, powered by Kirin 710 chipset, 4GB RAM, 4000mAh battery, dual rear, and front cameras.
Similarly, Huawei has also said no for EMUI 10 to devices such as Honor Play, Huawei P20 Lite, Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i and more.
Currently, we don’t have any information on whether Huawei is going to change its plan on Huawei Y9 2019 EMUI 10 eligibility but the chances of that happening is very few.
