Huawei Y9 2019 is receiving April 2022 update, no EMUI 12

Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the Y9 2019 smartphone that comes with April 2022 optimizations for better system security. On the other hand, Huawei Y9 2019 users are not eligible to install the EMUI software update that has various new features for improved user experience.

Huawei Y9 2019 April 2022 optimizations that target the system’s performance and bring you robust performance regardless of revealing the package content for the consumers. On the flip side, the corresponding consumer has not got any other additions with this software update that comes with EMUI 9.1 version 9.1.0.396.

Furthermore, the phone’s sibling Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is eligible to get EMUI 12 and currently testing this new EMUI version under the BETA program. If you are a Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 user then you can proceed with this rollout process and bring it on your device.

How to update:

Huawei Y9 2019 users can download the latest April 2022 system optimization by visiting Settings  > System > then tapping on the Software update and then following the on-screen instruction to get the latest software build.

Here are a few things that you need to know before upgrading to the latest software build, first maintain enough storage in your phone’s internal storage to store the latest OTA package. Make sure you have to make a backup of important data to prevent any unwanted handling of data.
