Huawei will launch new open-type earphones with fashion and comfort

A few days ago, Huawei held the “Audio Innovation Technology Media Conference” to showcase its audio technologies and lossless sound quality. At the event, Huawei also said it will launch new open-type earphones with a brand-new shape and exciting features.

Liu Dongfang, President of Huawei Devices Business Group Audio and Smart Accessories Product line confirmed that a new form of open headphones coming by the end of this year.

To explain, the new product will be compatible with existing in-ear earphones, semi-in-ear headphones, smart glasses, and other Huawei wearable devices.

In terms of features, the new open-type headphones will be suitable for different scenarios including office, travel, remote places, and more.

One of the key technologies in the earphone industry this year is bone conduction and more of the earphone makers are focusing on this technology. Currently, open headphones mainly sound-producing such as bone conduction and air conduction are mainly used in sports fields.

Data shows that the sales of open headphones have increased by 220% year-on-year in China and it went up to 340% during the 2023 Singles Day sales season.

Judging from these figures, sales of open-type headphones are seeing rapid growth and more consumers are opting in for these headphones.

For now, Huawei has not revealed any key details regarding the specifications of this upcoming open-type headphones but the company has been quite productive when it comes to innovating new earphones and we would like to see what this one has to offer.
