Huawei Watch with blood pressure feature begins public testing, launching soon
Back in June, Huawei launched a bunch of new range of products including HarmonyOS and the first tablet as well as the Watch series smartwatch. The latest smart wearable comes under the Watch 3 series and consists of two models – a standard and a Pro variant.
These smartwatches are the first to equip HarmonyOS 2 operating system. However, these aren’t the only smart wearable that Huawei has planned for this year. So, what are we talking about? Well, a smartwatch with a blood pressure feature.
Recently, Huawei has begun to recruit for a watch blood pressure feature test. According to the information, the test requires a wrist circumference over 200mm a total of 20 people who can participate in this test event.
The test is limited to the Chinese people but reflects that the launch is not far away from unveiling. Still, an official launch date is yet to reveal.
Huawei Watch Blood Pressure:
Back in May, He Gang, President of Handset Business, Huawei Consumer Business Group announced that the first Huawei smartwatch with Blood Pressure measurement capabilities and features has passed the medical device registration test.
The next step for Huawei is to conduct Clinical trials with professional institutes to get better insights into how accurate this smart wearable will going to work on users’ wrists. The watch could launch in the second half of 2021.
China’s Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration issued the “Publicity of the Results of the Priority Approval Application for the Second Class of Medical Devices (Issue 49)”.
Huawei Device Co., Ltd. wrist ECG blood pressure recorder, ECG analysis system, arrhythmia analysis system, wrist single-lead ECG collector, and other four medical device products entered the priority approval process. However, the details of these medical devices are still unknown.
Huawei Watch 3:
The Watch 3 series sports health features such as all-day SpO2 & Heart Rate monitoring, Skin temperature, sleep tracking, and more. These watches provide smart features including Super Device with Talabt, DTC, Petal Maps. There are also over 100 professional sports tracking workout modes.
Huawei Watch 3 sports a 1.43-inch round shape AMOLED screen with 466 x 466p screen resolution, 46.2 x 46.2 x 12.15 mm dimensions, 326 PPI, 70% screen body ratio, 54g weight, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 450mAh battery, and powered by HarmonyOS 2.0.
On the other hand, the Watch 3 Pro features a 1.46-inch AMOLED round shape display, 466 x 466 resolution, 326 PPI, 48 x 49.6mm x 14mm dimension, 63g weight. The body of the watch is made of titanium and comes with Classic Brown Leather Strap.
These smart wearables have pre-installed HarmonyOS, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 790 mAh powerful battery that supports battery life up to 14 days, Bluetooth 5.2, over 100 workout modes, GPS, Wi-Fi, and 5ATM water resistance.
