Huawei Watch GT 4 enters HarmonyOS NEXT public beta program
Huawei has opened the HarmonyOS NEXT public beta program for Watch GT 4 users. It’s time for the corresponding wearable owners to jump into the software testing and experience some new features and enhancements ahead of the stable rollout.
The public beta program enables unlimited users to check and experience new features in advance. One can give valuable feedback to further improve the software.
Watch Ultimate and Watch Fit 3 users have already received the HarmonyOS NEXT beta features. Now the company is calling out the Huawei Watch GT 4 wearable owners to participate in the HarmonyOS NEXT public beta program.
Before proceeding with the public beta program, ensure that your wearable is running on the baseline version HarmonyOS 4.2.0.103. We also suggest users maintain a stable connection between the watch and smartphone during the installation.
How to sign up?
There are two methods to enroll in the beta program: Users who aren’t using HarmonyOS NEXT on their handsets can visit the My Huawei app. Now go to the Home section and select the “Upgrade and Try” option. Click on Multi-Device Trial upgrade and follow the on-screen steps to sign in to the public beta activity.
On the other hand, if your Huawei phone or tablet is running on HarmonyOS NEXT then tap HERE and fill in the questionnaire with accurate details and hit submit.
In case you don’t own a Huawei handset then register in the HarmonyOS NEXT public beta with WeChat Mini Program. Open the My Huawei app and click on the Huawei Watch GT 4 HarmonyOS NEXT public beta event banner on the homepage.
Points to remember:
Being a beta firmware, the latest version may welcome certain issues on your wrist gadget. For instance battery draining and lagging. Once upgraded to the new HarmonyOS NEXT version, you can’t roll back to the previous software update. Hence, proceed at your own risk in the beta activity.
