Huawei Watch GT 2 starts 2023 with a new update
It’s January and we’re in 2023 with a surprising new software update for the Huawei Watch GT 2 smartwatch in the global market. This update is important for your smartwatch as it improves some of its crucial aspects.
Huawei Watch GT 2 is starting its 2023 with a new update featuring build version 11.0.17.6. In terms of the changelog, the watch users will get optimized system stability for better performance in different scenarios.
However, there aren’t any other changes noted in the upgrade.
It is revealed that the company is sending this upgrade in batches. There may be a chance for it to delay in some cases. However, we suggest you grab it via Huawei Health app.
Open the Huawei Health app, then select your connected smart wearable and tap on the firmware update to check for the latest software update. If available, the app will pop up the update information and let you choose the on-screen options.

Currently, Huawei has not released any major software update for this smartwatch lineup. However, it seems that the company will keep on sending new system optimizations to improve its performance for consumers.
To be mentioned, Huawei Watch 3 series global models started receiving HarmonyOS 3, which is a big software addition for the smartwatch.

- Updating the wearable device may take some time. Please wait for the progress bar on the device to complete. The device will automatically restart after the update is complete.
- Make sure to charge up your smartwatch above 40 percent to initiate the update procedure.
