Huawei Watch GT 2 is preparing for new software beta, HarmonyOS is coming?

Huawei has started recruiting new beta testers for Watch GT 2 smartwatch. This is quite interesting news and the consumers keep asking, is it for the Huawei Watch GT 2 HarmonyOS 2 upgrade preparation? Well, there’s only one way to find out, that’s by diving deep into this matter.

Huawei has started a closed beta test for the Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm (LTN-B19) version that has 1000 testing slots. Meanwhile, the registrations are opened for Chinese consumers from September 6 to September 13.

Huawei wrote that the Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm version has been upgraded. New sporty & outdoor, smarter, safer, new features, and user experience are waiting for you to announce. Eligible users can register and be the first to experience the new features of the new version.

The promises made in the above statement are not normal and the company is surely preparing to provide a major upgrade for the Huawei Watch GT series owners. However, it would be more interesting and exciting if this rollout comes as a Huawei Watch GT HarmonyOS update rather than the existing software.

Still, Huawei has not revealed any specific details of the closed version that will come after approval with the requirement of the corresponding software version.

However, the Chinese tech giant doesn’t announce such a testing process for the consumer except for testing new software, in this case, it could be the HarmonyOS for Huawei Watch GT 2. Yet, we’ll have to wait for more official inputs on this subject.

Huawei Watch GT 2 closed beta information:

Huawei Watch GT users will need to download the Huawei Health Beta version application to participate in this activity. The users will be able to resolve and provide important feedback on the issues they are facing during the closed beta process.

How to participate:

Corresponding Huawei Watch GT 46mm users will need to download and install the Huawei members app. You will need to log in to the Member Center App with a Huawei account to sign up for the recruitment.

After receiving the SMS notification of the recruitment of the internal test, open the Member Center APP, click (Experience Officer) >> and find (Sports and Health Members) in the task square Reward experience) Accept the task >> Download (Experience with rewards for sports health members) >> Install to the mobile phone. (If you fill in your account incorrectly, you will not be able to find this task) After installation, this version will automatically overwrite the original sports health APP on your phone.

Update and Upgrade:

After successful approval, a new test software will release for the users and need to be downloaded. To do this, you need to open the Huawei Health app > Click on the connected Huawei Devices > On the device detail page, tap on Firmware update > if there’s a new version available, it’s recommended to download.

Selected testers are eligible to provide closed beta feedback, open the Huawei Health App > open device > detail page > find and open Device issue Beta feedback, click into the consent agreement signed by beta > If you receive an update > select download now and follow the onscreen instructions.
