Huawei Watch GT 2 August 2022 optimization update is expanding
A few days ago, Huawei has rolled out the August 2022 optimization update for its super-agile wearable – the Watch GT 2 smartwatch in the global market. Now the company has started expanding the respective firmware for more users in the region.
As mentioned in our previous article, the initial rollout was only available to a handful of users, and the company will gradually extend the roots of this new iteration to more consumers. Consequently, Huawei has started working on the expanding process of the latest wearable firmware.
The August 2022 update for the Huawei Watch GT 2 packs the build number 11.0.16.10 and a software package with a size of 75 Megabytes. On diving into the changelog, we find that the new firmware brings some system stability improvements for the device which will surely give a new boost to the performance level.
Notably, the version of the update is the same as the initial one, and so is the changelog. Yet, we will recommend the corresponding device users install the update to enjoy a stable as well as productive experience on their wearable gadget.
Though the company is speeding up the approach of the update through the OTA procedure. Nevertheless, if you do not find the firmware touching your device, you can simply take the help of the Huawei Health application. Just follow the below-given steps to make a successful installation attempt.
- Go to the Huawei Health app
- Navigate to the Device section
- Select your device – Watch GT 2
- Tap on the Firmware Updates
- Follow the on-screen prompts and install the firmware
Huawei Watch GT 4 – New member of the watch family
Huawei is busy with the final touch-ups of the Mate 50 series. But in the meantime, the company is also hammering its hands over some new devices, and one of them could be the Watch GT 4. As per the sources, the Chinese tech maker could launch the new handy gadget later this year.
