The changelog reveals that the Huawei Watch GT 2 and Watch GT 2 Pro are getting the system optimization update for improved services. However, there are no other changes found in the firmware.
How to update:
- Due to version restrictions, you first need to upgrade to 11.2.16.10/11.0.16.10, otherwise, you won’t receive the version push.
- In order to receive a better user experience, it is recommended to update the “Huawei Health” app to the latest version, which you can find over AppGallery.
- Open the Huawei Health app > tap on the connected device on the screen > enter the device details page > tap on check firmware update > and update to the latest version.
- The smartwatch update process may take a long time. Please wait for the progress bar on the device side to complete. The device will automatically restart after the system is updated.
- Before the upgrade, keep sufficient storage space, and the power of the smartwatch should be above 20%.
- During the OTA package transferring process, ensure that the Bluetooth connection between the watch and the mobile remains stable, and don’t operate the smartwatch during the installation.
