Recently, a number of trademarks have appeared on the Chinese Intellectual property database. It reveals that Huawei has officially transferred over 700 trademarks of its former subsidiary – Honor in various categories to the new owners. Last November, Huawei officially announced partition with Honor, one of its major subsidiaries in the face of U.S. sanctions. The company made a deal with Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd., a consortium of over 30 agents and dealers in China.

In the aftermath of the Huawei Honor trademarks transfer, it’s been told that Honor will now work independently and will be able to retain all of the staff. Therefore, Geroge Zhao, president of Honor, serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

This move has brought new hope for Honor, as it is proved to regain access to important U.S. technology such as chipsets and Google Mobile Services (GMS), which has been lost after U.S. sanctions.

Huawei Withdraws:

According to the listing, after the sale, Huawei has withdrawn its name from Honor investors, which is a big development. Records show that Honor Devices Co., Ltd. was established on April 1, 2021, with a registered capital of 31.54 billion yuan. Wan Bao served as the chairman of Honor and it’s now controlled by Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology.

Huawei and Honor:

Founded in 2013, Honor’s line of smartphones allowed Huawei to compete with mid-range online smartphone brands in China and globally. Honor sells its products mainly online through its own sites as well as via third-party online retailers. Some Honor products are available to purchase at stores in select markets

Honor has been a great supporter of Huawei, the phone-making subsidiary has earned a big amount of revenue and helped the Chinese tech giant to emerge as a big rival to phone makers – Samsung and Apple. However, the U.S. sanctions made them part ways and now, Honor is no longer in the shadow of Huawei.

Therefore, its chief – George Zhao said his company will launch new flagship devices to participate and compete against big competitors in the smartphone market.
