Huawei tops the global telecom equipment market in 2021: Dell’Oro Group
On March 14, Dell’Oro Group has winded up the Q4 of 2021 data analysis and reporting period and released the global telecom equipment market share report for 2021. Following the data, Huawei still leads the global telecom market in 2021 even after bearing major losses on some grounds.
The information reveals that the telecom equipment includes Broadband Access, Microwave & Optical Transport, Mobile Core Network (MCN), Radio Access Network (RAN), and SP Router & Switch.
According to the report, due to the COVID-19 restriction, the growth rate in the telecom market in the fourth quarter of 2021 is slower down by 2%. While the 80% share of the total market is contributed by seven vendors.
The top 6 vendors in the global telecom market in 2021 include Huawei on the first rank with 28.7% shares with a 7% year-on-year growth rate. The second position was secured by Ericsson with 15%, Nokia with 14.9% shares followed by ZTE with 10.5%, Cisco with 5.6%, and Samsung accounted for 3.1% market shares.
Overall, the global telecom equipment market noted a 7% year-on-year growth rate in 2021. For four consecutive years, the market is growing and about a 20% growth rate is measured since 2017 accounting for 100 billion USD.
Further, the company expected that in 2022 the year-on-year will be 4%. Moreover, the US government curbs affecting Huawei’s equipment market outside of China. But, Huawei continues to top the global market.
