Huawei tops Chinese wearable market with 24.3% YoY growth
IDC has published the first quarter result of the Chinese wearable market. Among the top 5 brands in China, Huawei has sold 4.282 million units, accounting for 24.3% of the total market share.
The company has recorded a growth rate of 18.8% on-year, which is more than any other smart wearable maker on the list.
Huawei is followed by Xiaomi, with 4.144 million units shipment, 23.5% market share, and a 0.6% growth decline. Samsung comes in the third position with 2.848 million shipments, 16.2% market share, and a 15% growth increase.
According to IDC, China’s wearable market fell 11.3% year on year (YoY) in the first quarter of 2020. Shipment of the basic wearable devices was 14.86 million units, down 5.5% on the year and shipments of smart wearables were 2.76 million units, down 33.3% year on year.
