Huawei Mate 60 series could use both Kirin and Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. This could be a good strategy for the smartphone maker, as it continues to revamp the supply chain.

A past report suggests that the Huawei Mate 60 series may launch with both 4G and 5G versions. That’s how the 4G version of the devices may be using 4G Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 5G version with Kirin chip.

Tipster DigitalChatStation is saying that the Huawei Mate 60 series and later release of all flat-screen phones could utilize this Kirin + Snapdragon dual chip use. But the company is betting all for the Kirin, while the Mate 60 Pro models are using the Kirin 9000S with 5G integrated baseband chip as a standard selling point.

This reflects two things, The first is that Huawei has a good quantity of Kirin supplies. Second, the Qualcomm chip may still play a critical role in Huawei’s smartphone sales.

The tipster predicts that the company has more of the mid-range devices for next year, that come with 5G connectivity. However, there are no names announced at the moment.

DCS said that the Kirin 9000s has better power consumption management than Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 but the daily usage is not less than Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The difference in power is not much but it does make an impact on performance for higher consumption.

With the Huawei Mate 60 series, Huawei unveiled the Kirin 9000s and returned to customers. Because the company has not released the details of the Kirin 9000 on the official website. But there’s more information that is needed to come on this matter.
