Huawei to dim iPhone 16 series ‘Glowtime’ event

Huawei and Apple are well-known rivals in the market and a clash between the two tech giants always raises consumers’ excitement. It seems Huawei is now ready to fade away the iPhone 16 series “Glowtime” event with its triple-foldable.

Apple announced to unveil iPhone 16 series on September 9th at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT. The event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. With this device launch, the OEM aims to retain its value in the market.

“It’s a Glowtime” – Apple stated in its announcement reflecting that users will also find fresh Siri features with the new handsets. But it seems Huawei is ready to dim the iPhone 16 series Glowtime by launching its tri-fold just hours after Apple’s event.

Huawei Consumer Business Group Chairman – Yu Chengdong said that the company will launch an “epoch-making” product on September 10. After a 5-year journey of hard work and dedication, the OEM is ready to unfold an innovative chapter.

The first tri-fold phone will likely create problems for Apple in the market. Why so? Huawei has edged out the American manufacturer in the recent quarter for the smartphone race. With a new look, high-end performance, and Kirin return, Mate 60 series outshined the iPhone 14 and 15 series, despite several discount offerings.

Moreover, Apple still has to take steps toward the foldable market. Some inputs revealed that the iPhone maker may launch its first clamshell next year or in 2027.

With a strong form, Huawei picked the right day to showcase its tri-fold as the device could significantly impact the iPhone 16 repo in the market. As per Bloomberg – “Scheduling an event so soon after the new iPhone’s launch would suggest the company is ready to go head-to-head with Apple again”.

The Chinese tech giant continues to evolve its foldable form factor with new creations. After Mate X5 with two-way satellite communication, a thin, and durable design, Huawei is bringing the world’s first triple foldable with iconic capabilities.

Being a foldable-free company, Apple might once again suffer from sales problems in the Chinese market after the Huawei tri-fold unveiling. How far things will continue to work in each tech giant’s favor would be worth looking forward to.
