Huawei to bring in display fingerprint foldable smartphone
In the past, Huawei has launched a number of new smartphones in the market. As its Mate series has been the center of innovation for the past two years and features futuristic technologies such as foldable display and power-packed hinge system.
Recently, Well known Weibo tipster – DigitalChatStation revealed an important update on the arrival of the upcoming foldable phone. According to the tipster, Huawei is testing under-screen fingerprint and pol less OLED technology on a foldable phone. Additionally, it is also revealed that the company is working on Huawei Mate 50 and planning to bring it next year in the first quarter of 2022.
A previous report reveals that none of the smartphone makers has ever released foldable devices powered by the in-display fingerprint sensor. Due to the fragile screen panel, the phone maker cannot add an extra layer of features such as in-display sensors or under-display components, as it may harm the internal film of the foldable panel.
Currently, the Chinese giant has not revealed any of the information on such devices but we’ll keep you posted on the matter with continuous updates. Furthermore, If so, the upcoming Huawei foldable phone with display fingerprint could make a huge impact among consumers.
Huawei Mate V:
Aside from this new display leak, it’s expected that Huawei is also planning to introduce a new flip-style Mate V (tentative name). This phone is likely to fold vertically similar to the traditional flip phones and will have a foldable screen.
Huawei Mate X3
In 2019, Huawei unveiled the Mate X smartphone that comes with a side folded display, once folded the screen turns the display into a regular side smartphone. Later comes the Mate Xs, which is an upgraded version of the Mate X first gen but the hardware and the design remain identical to the first-gen models.
Earlier this year, Huawei introduced the Mate X2 device, which has a new hinge system as it comes with two screen panels. Once folded, the phone has an accessible large phone size display and in unfolded state, it remains a tablet with a large view screen.
