Huawei technologies receives ISO/IEC 27701 Privacy Information Management System Standard Certification

Today, Huawei officially confirmed receiving the ISO/IEC 27701 privacy information management system standard certification. This certification is issued by BSI China and over 20 Huawei subsidiaries have received ISO/IEC 27701 certificates ranging services including terminals, cloud, and ICT technologies.

Huawei Cloud also won the highest-level Titanium Award for Trusted Digital Cloud issued by BSI. It also became the first batch of highest-level winners. The award is a series of digital trustworthy Digital Trust Assurance Awards (hereinafter referred to as “DTAA”) initiated and implemented by BSI China this year.

It aims to recognize the achievements of enterprises in building “digital trust”. Currently, Huawei CLOUD has received more than 130 security compliance certifications and three-party audits.

It is one of the cloud service providers with the most authoritative security compliance qualifications in the world.

“Huawei regards building and fully implementing an end-to-end global network security and privacy protection guarantee system as one of the company’s important development strategies, and continues to invest resources to improve privacy compliance capabilities. Huawei conducted a systematic insight into and sorted out external privacy protection laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and built a set of global privacy compliance 17/27 frameworks based on its own privacy compliance requirements to provide privacy compliance for each business unit. Guidance is provided for regulatory work. The passing of the ISO/IEC 27701 standard certification shows that Huawei’s product development, procurement, production, operation, and maintenance processes fully meet the requirements of international industry standards.” said Huawei after receiving the certification.

Huawei also captioned that network security and privacy protection are very important for the future of the digital economy. Therefore, the company promised to strengthen its cooperation with the industry.
