Huawei teases Nova Flip foldable with a unique square cover screen
Today, Huawei has officially teased the long-rumored Nova Flip foldable with a distinct square cover screen. With the first teaser, the company envisioned a new clamshell product with a touch of style, fashion, and uniqueness over previous folding devices.
“Ding, @TFBOYS-Yi Yang Qianxi sent you a Morse code, inviting you to decipher the new member of Huawei nova!” – wrote Huawei.
Looking at the video teaser, Huawei has mainly highlighted the Nova Flip foldable square cover screen. The company has released various vertical folding phones to date. But this would be the first clamshell with an aesthetic square external display.
The Nova Flip appears in bright green (more of a neon shade) with a vibrant outlook. It has a silver rim running throughout the edges and thin bezels. There are functional keys on the right side while charging port and speakers at the bottom of the device.
Another highlight is the flat main screen without creases. In the teaser, the device has been folded multiple times, implying that it won’t trouble consumers regarding durability.
Huawei has further upgraded the camera structure for the Nova Flip. The rear side has a rectangular frame with a thin margin. This frame houses dual camera rings as well as a square cover screen. There is also an LED Flash placed below the lenses.
Unlike the big circular lens ring present on the Pocket 2, this time the company has used two separate smaller lens rings, arranged vertically at the back.
The front side exhibits a single punch-hole design for the selfie camera. Huawei has seemingly designed this phone with new crafting and the overall appearance is quite appealing to consumers. People seem quite excited about the looks shown in the teaser.
That’s all this teaser has to say about the Huawei Nova Flip foldable featuring a square cover screen. Currently, there are not many inputs available on the new device. But previous revelations hint that the device would be cheaper than Pocket 2.
Nova Flip may adopt a Kirin 9010E chipset, which will likely be more powerful and reliable than the 9000s processors. The new clamshell phone will likely launch on August 6th alongside several other products like notebooks, tablets, STELATO S9 sedan, and more.
