Huawei tablet sales surges in Chinese market for Q3 2024: Report

Huawei has scored well in the Chinese tablet sales market for Q3 2024. The company has achieved a jump of 5.3% in the MatePad product shipment in the third quarter of this year. Thanks to the cost-effective tablets for grabbing consumers’ attention.

RUNTO technology has recently shared the analysis of the Q3 2024 Chinese tablet sales where Huawei ranked second. Other top four rankers in the list are Apple, Xiaomi, Honor, and iFlytek. This time, Lenovo didn’t make it to the top five rankings.

The MatePad maker has obtained a 20.3% share in online sales. It made a progress of 5.3% year-on-year due to the excellent performance of the newly launched tablets.

Inputs further reveal that Huawei’s total tablet sales surged by 41.3% YoY. The company achieved a significant sales hike in both online and offline Chinese stores.

RUNTO notes that Huawei grew in the Q3 2024 Chinese tablet market due to MatePad 11.5 S and MatePad SE tablets. Both lineups won consumers’ attention in the market for their thin design, hardware capabilities, as well as several AI features.

Apple remained at the top with 25.0% shares in online sales but declined by 8.6%. Xiaomi achieved the third spot with 9.5% in the online sales market. It is seeing a drop of 0.8% in YoY progress which is quite negligible compared to the iPad maker.

Honor grabbed the fourth position with a 5.3% share but has slightly come down in the annual growth (1.1%). iFlytek achieved the fifth place with more than 40% of shares in the online sales. Its overall market share reached 4.1%.

The research firm states that summer promotions helped the tech vendors a lot in the Chinese tablet market. These promotions boosted the sales of mid as well as low-priced tablets in the market. Overall shipment in the Chinese tablet market for Q3 2024 is 7.131 million units which is an increase of 3.5% year-on-year.
