Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa 2023 conference promotes Industrial digitalization
Recently, Huawei hosted the Eco-Connect Sub-Saharan Africa 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa to promote Industrial Digitalization in Africa.
The conference was themed “Leading Digital for New Value Together” and gathered around 3000 partners and customers from over 10 countries in the region. Above 90 percent of Huawei’s sales comes through these 3k partners.
During the event, Huawei announced 30 million US dollars in investment to enhance partnerships, joint ventures, and innovation. The company will also focus on talent development in the region.
Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa 2023 conference hosted eight sub-forums on digital government, IP networks, data storage, transportation, cloud, and digital power. Meanwhile, Huawei hosted a massive tech showcase in a 2,500-square-meter exhibition hall.
David Wang, Huawei’s Executive Director of the Board, Chairman of the ICT Infrastructure Managing Board, and President of the Enterprise BG said that Huawei is working deeply with industry partners to provide a wide range of products and solutions.
“We are entering an era of great challenges and even greater opportunities. Let’s join hands to embrace the intelligent world and grow and succeed together.” Wang emphasized.
Leo Chen, President of Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa Region explained that Huawei’s partnerships were a critical part of these success stories. He promised fairness, transparency, mutual growth, and shared success.
“We are proud that we have a powerful organization called Huawei that is walking with us,” said Philly Mapulane, South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies.
