Huawei is speeding up the HarmonyOS NEXT launch preparations. As per a new input, the company has significantly increased the speed of its latest HarmonyOS NEXT beta rollouts. It has also become faster and smoother than the previous versions.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus noted that HarmonyOS NEXT beta upgrades are faster than before. The software system is receiving new builds more frequently than ever.
The tipster revealed that while posting the news about the latest HarmonyOS NEXT version, the software system got updated again. It’s quite surprising as the system had just received a new beta update. Interestingly, the news was yet to be posted.
It seems that Huawei has intensified preparations for the HarmonyOS NEXT launch. A company executive has confirmed to unveil the official HarmonyOS NEXT by the end of this month. Thus, faster beta upgrades could be in favor of the stable software.
Huawei launched the HarmonyOS NEXT developer preview at the outset of 2024. The company introduced it as the ‘Galaxy version’ for developers. At the HDC 2024 event, the tech giant brought the HarmonyOS NEXT beta, but again for developers.

After several tests and rollouts, the company launched the consumer (closed) beta in late August. The version was open to new models like Pura 70 phones, Pocket 2 foldable, and MatePad Pro 11 2024 alongside the first batch of beta devices.
Apart from HarmonyOS NEXT beta speed-up, the tipster mentioned that the new beta software version for the Pura 70 and Mate 60 series differs in WEB kernel cores.
The corresponding phone users might face some changes while operating the handsets with a beta update. The reason behind this difference is unclear. However, the Chinese tech giant may soon look after it.
HarmonyOS NEXT stable version is ready to show up later this month. It is better to upgrade your eligible devices to the latest version. Meanwhile, beta users should maintain a data backup and sufficient storage space to install the new upgrade efficiently.
