Huawei sold 2.9 million units in Q3 2024 global tablet market: Canalys

Canalys has published a new Q3 2024 global tablet market report where Huawei has sold around 2.9 million units. The company entered the top 5 rankers list and contributed a significant value to the worldwide tablet franchise in the third quarter.

Inputs reveal that Huawei has grabbed the fourth spot and shipped nearly 2.9 million units in the Q3 2024 global tablet market. The firm captured a 7.7% market share. For reference, the company had a 6.6% market share in 2023 (same period).

Huawei further gained a 29% YoY progress rate. The rank is a step down from the previous quarters. Yet the company is steadily marching forward in the market.

The tech giant has unveiled two new tablets in the third quarter for global consumers: MatePad Pro 12.2 and 12 X. The former offers flagship-level features while the latter ensures efficient performance all the time, without ruining the experience.

It even promoted these tablets under various sales like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and monthly deal offers. These efforts helped the company to draw consumers’ attention towards its newly launched tablets, in the global market.

Others:

Apple ranked first in this race with a shipment of 13.5 million units and 36.3% of the market share. It grew 0.3% compared to the last year same period. iPad with Apple Intelligence helped the company to achieve the top-most seat in the market.

Samsung is next in this queue with 6.9 million tablet shipments and 12% annual growth. Lenovo secured third position with nearly 3 million unit sales and earned 14.4% YoY growth. It owns 7.9% of the global tablet market share.

Xiaomi is in fifth place with 2.5 million units and 6.8% market share. It has achieved 58.4% of the annual growth rate and become the fastest-growing vendor of Q3 2024.
