Huawei smartphone shipments in China increased by 36.2% in Q4 2023: IDC Report

IDC research institute has published the China smartphone shipments in Q4 2023 report for top tech vendors and Huawei has scored amazing grades in this ranking. It is the only brand to see positive growth in the final quarter of 2023.

According to the information, Huawei has bagged Xiaomi in the top 5 positions for the China smartphone shipments Q4 2023 report by IDC. The tech giant has obtained an overall increment of 36.2% and is sitting at the fourth spot.

Meanwhile, Apple has grabbed the first position but with a decline of 2.1% in iPhone shipments in China. It seems as if Huawei’s constant growth in market share has made a significant impact on the American firm’s sales revenue.

The listing further shows Honor in the second position with a market share of 16.8%. Again, it is a drop of 0.9% compared to the year 2022. In addition, Vivo and OPPO rely on the third and fifth places respectively.

Looking into the figures, Huawei is the only tech maker to achieve actual success in Q4 2023 Chinese smartphone shipments, whereas other tech giants have seen a decrement of a certain percentage, compared to the previous reports.

Huawei has started achieving new heights in all fields in the native region. Despite tough battles with the U.S. authorities and foreign trade sanctions, the company made an amazing comeback with last year’s handsets. Perhaps, the company may ship 64 million units this year worldwide, as per the report.

At the same time, IDC analysts predict that even though Apple is at the top of the Chinese smartphone market, it may come under pressure later this year. The innovative rival products and limited upgrades in iPhones will likely reduce the overall attractiveness.
