Huawei smart TVs dethroned Samsung with 20 percent market share in China

Huawei overtakes Samsung by gaining a 20 percent market share in the Smart TVs field. The competitive result came out in China where the Korean tech maker saw a fall of 13 percent for its high-end smart screen for the first time.

According to the DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultant) analyst, Samsung smart TVs have notably dropped in the recent two years, while Huawei continues to secure a good position in the Chinese market.

For the first time, the Korean tech giant saw a decline of more than 20% in 2019. Till then, the degradation of the gadget prevails in the consumer platform. By the fourth quarter of 2021, Samsung reached to 13% of the share.

The reason behind Samsung’s decline:

Further, the DSCC report suggests that a smart screen must include the LCD with quantum dot films. For some reason, Samsung has always skipped the enhanced LCD plan and relied upon OLED and LCD with LED backlights.

Due to this decline, the company has lost its place in the top smart screen vendors list. As per the information, the reason for the shipment decline lies behind the overpricing of the product. On the other hand, if we talk about the global market, then Samsung has dropped to 50-60 percent.

Thus, it seems like the time is not in the favour of the Korean manufacturer. Though, there are several other tech makers, such as LG that remain at 3% of the share in China. But, its global share raised to 20% at the same time.

Consequently, Huawei needs not to worry for the moment. With such a result, we can assume that the time is not so far when Huawei will top the Chinese as well as the global market in all its products.
