Huawei Smart TV shipments exceed 150000 units in October 2024: Report
Huawei has shipped over 150000 smart TV units in October 2024 in China. The company is not only making achievements in the smartphone, tablet, or PC categories but also leading the smart TV race. It has performed quite well last month.
RUNTO Technology has recently released a new report on the Chinese Smart TV market. The report highlights the top eight brands of the market that have increased smart TV sales last month, and Huawei is one of them.
Inputs reveal that Huawei has sold more than 150000 smart TV units in October 2024. The company is constantly maintaining stable growth in the Chinese TV market. Meanwhile, the latest shipment benefitted it with a 30% YoY growth rate.
Over time, the Huawei has significantly improved its smart TVs. The tech giant has worked on new screen sizes, better AI capabilities, and internal parameters.
The latest example is the V5 Max 110-inch that launched with HarmonyOS 4.5 and brings various enhanced capabilities. During the 2024 Autumn launch event, Yu Chengdong – the Huawei Consumer Business Chairman said the company owns around 42.3% of the sales share in the Chinese smart TV market.
Apart from Huawei, top rankers are Hisense, TCL, Xiaomi, Skyworth, Changhong, Huawei, Konka, Haier and their sub-brands. Hisense ranked first with 900000 smart TV shipments. TCL is second with 800000 units whereas, Xiaomi is third with 700000 units.
Foreign brands like Samsung, Sony, Philips, and Sharp also rose in October 2024 with a decent figure. Although their market share for total shipments was less than 5%.
Huawei and other Chinese tech vendors led to a shipment of 3.855 million units in October 2024 in China. The overall sales increased 20.8% month-on-month and 3.1% year-on-year.
