CEO of Huawei Smart Car Business Unit, Yu Chengdong is keeping the progress straight in the business. The smart car business of Huawei will be profitable by 2025.

The latest comment from Yu comes in during an internal meeting. This is the third year, that Huawei established the Smart Car Business Unit and the second year since Yu took over as CEO. For your information, Yu also serves as the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group.

Currently, Huawei’s car business has 15 secondary departments, including the smart driving product department, the MDC product department, the smart car control product department, smart car cloud product department, smart driving product department, smart cockpit product department, smart car solution department, and more.

Within two years, Huawei made a huge impact on the smart car industry. While the company remained committed to not making cars on its own. Throughout the past years, Huawei established partnerships with different car makers including BAIC, GAC, Changan, Xiaokang, Ningde Times, and others.

AITO and SERES have been quite influential in the production with Huawei. These cars are using smart cockpits designed and developed by the Chinese tech maker.

Profitable:

It’s said that Huawei is exploring three years of business opportunities and growth. It means, Huawei will sell more parts and help car companies to sell more cars.

Furthermore, the company will launch smart models with more manufacturers in the near future. Currently, Huawei has confirmed cooperation with Chery, BAIC, and JAC and preparing for upcoming models.

It’s a good business manual and we hope that the Huawei Smart Car Business unit completes its mission of profitable level mission earlier than 2025.
