Huawei shipped 105 million smartphone in H1 2020 and generated CNY255.8B ($37 billion) in revenue
At Huawei Developer Conference 2020 (HDC 2020), Huawei launched its new products and also announced that it has shipped over 105 million smartphones in the first half of 2020, which was 240 million throughout the last year.
In H1 2020, Huawei generated CNY255.8 billion ($36.5 billion) in CBG sales revenue compared to CNY 467.3 billion ($68 billion) throughout the entire 2019. Under this development, Huawei also shared the boom in its 1+8+N all-scenario business during the second quarter of 2020.
According to Huawei, it became the number 1 smartphone brand in the global market, no. 1 wrist wearables brand, number 2 smart watch maker, no.3 tablet maker, and achieved 120% yearly growth in its PC business. As well as a 50% increase in its TWS headset growth YoY. The company gave an even better performance in its home ground.
According to market researcher IDC, Huawei achieved the top spot in the global market with 55.8 million smartphone shipments in 2Q20 and a decline of 5.1% YoY. Also, the company acquired its biggest share ever of 20% of the global smartphone market.
