Germany plans to phase out Chinese 5G equipment from its network core in the next few years. Following these ban headlines, Huawei now reportedly said that there isn’t any specific evidence that proves its tech to be risky for others.

A new report reveals how Huawei responded to an unnecessary ban on its technology in Germany. One of the company’s spokespersons said that the firm has always offered valuable, upgraded, and secure network equipment to its telecom partners.

The speaker added that though many countries are pulling out Huawei from their network, there’s no “specific evidence” for its tech being risky to others.

“Huawei has developed into a continuously innovative, secure, and reliable telecoms equipment supplier in the German market. There is no specific evidence or scenarios that Huawei’s technology has cyber-security risks.” – said the spokesperson.

Beijing embassy also responded to the German ban on Chinese firms. It says that no such proof indicates Chinese companies are dangerous to any country. As per the embassy, these are groundless accusations to stop China from growing.

The embassy further said that it solely depends on Germany on how it manages this issue fairly for its business sake. Although it seems the foreign country won’t change its decision. It is running slow with the “rip and replace” plan but has ordered its telecom operators to remove the main Chinese parts from the network by 2026.

Berlin’s Interior Minister – Nancy Faeser pointed out the only reason to ban Chinese equipment is security. The aim is to shield the citizens’ communication, firms, and the state from security risks. This will eventually make Germany self-dependent.

5G network plays an important role in developing the economic infrastructure of a country. It covers major sections like health, energy, as well as transport, which ultimately contribute to the growth of a nation. Hence, both Chinese and foreign markets are making efforts to expand and secure their network technology.
