Huawei reportedly plans to expand cloud computing and AI services in global market
Huawei is reportedly working on the expansion of cloud computing and AI services in the global market. The company aims to open a new cloud service sector in Egypt in March this year while initiating the first AI cloud computing center in Hong Kong.
During the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2024 in Barcelona, a few Huawei Cloud executives at the summit said that the company would open a new cloud service zone in Egypt in March. This will count as the 85th available zones in 30 regions worldwide.
Moreover, the company is also planning to introduce a dynamic AI Cloud Computing Center in Hong Kong this year, although the time is not yet confirmed. This would be the company’s first AI center outside mainland China.
Another remarkable ongoing work of Huawei Cloud in the global market is to support the growth of around 1000 start-ups in Europe via useful services for the next five years. The President of Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Service – Jacqueline Shi says:
“At Huawei Cloud, AI is a key strategy. We’re building a solid cloud foundation for everyone, for every industry, to accelerate intelligence.”
Huawei Cloud: Growth
After the U.S. sanctions, Huawei dedicated a significant amount of time, effort, and dedication to cloud activities. Cloud computing became a vital source of revenue for the company when it was dealing with various challenges in the smartphone business.
The information reveals that Huawei is now the second-largest cloud service provider in China and aims to gradually extend its legs in global markets. Eventually, the manufacturer already opened new data centers in Turkey and Saudi Arabia last year.
After gaining 45.3 billion yuan in cloud sales in 2022, the company now seeks rapid scoring in this subject. Perhaps this year, we may see more growth in the Huawei Cloud Computing business with better AI services for global industries and consumers.
