Huawei renovates Petal Maps via September 2024 feature update

Huawei is enhancing the Petal Maps app with the September 2024 feature update. The company is adding some new transportation functions that will improve the travel experience. Users will get more efficient tools in the app with the latest build.

According to the changelog, the Petal Maps app is receiving the September 2024 update with the 4.5.0.303 version. The build doesn’t mention the package size. Yet, we suggest to keep at least 50-100MB of free storage space in your smartphone.

The company has added new bus and subway travel features to the app. On opening the Petal Maps, users will find the bus and subway travel options on the homepage.

With these tools, users will be able to manually enter their current location as well as the final place for bus. They can also auto-locate the place name for accuracy.

Users can further perform various functions like checking the journey time, scheduling the travel time, trip planning, bus/subway route display, real-time status of the bus or subway, and many more features. Although, there is a catch.

These features only work with a transport app. Huawei phone users need to download a separate “Bus Coming” app to use new tools, especially real-time bus viewing. Tapping on this feature will automatically open the third-party bus app on the device.
