Huawei releases EMUI 14.2 update for P60 Pro non-beta users

Huawei is now rolling out the EMUI 14.2 software update for the P60 Pro non-beta users. After the initial version distribution to beta testers, the company has now released the major upgrade for the general public with a huge list of new features.

As mentioned in the previous article, Huawei has opened the EMUI 14.2 update circulation for all eligible device users including both testers and common users.

While those on the beta will only receive system stability improvements as well as the May 2024 security patch, the general public will obtain the new EMUI 14.2 enhancements like amazing themes, better security, SuperHub, Live View, and more.

Huawei P60 Pro non-beta users are receiving the EMUI 14.2 update with the same 14.2.0.139 build as testers, but the difference lies in package size which is 6.11GB.

The software package also reflects the bundle of features arriving with the all-new EMUI 14.2. It offers a smart ecosystem with the most effective interaction experience and provides even more space for customizations. Check the changelog below.

Magazine Themes:

• The Art Star theme allows you to choose a portrait photo you like and a matching wallpaper.
• The poster theme now has a magazine-style layout and combines different colors and patterns.
• The headline theme offers six font styles that you can use to customize the clock on your lock screen.
• Each of these themes allows you to extract color from the wallpaper and apply it to the app icons.

Interactive Themes:

• The Emoji theme animates your screen background with interactive effects.
• There is an immersive weather wallpaper that changes depending on the weather conditions and the angle at which you rotate the phone.

Productivity & Efficiency

Live View:

• Shows timely alerts and the status of important events on the lock screen, home screen, and more to keep you updated. It also exhibits real-time activities on a pinned window at the top. Just tap it and use certain controls.

SuperHub:

• Supports dragging and dropping files or other media contents between apps and devices. Just press and hold the content and perform the gesture to bring it to SuperHub. The feature will store the data temporarily.

Ark Engine:

• Provides a smoother experience with faster loading times, quick app launches, and instant touch response.

Security:

• Integrates the May 2024 security patch to enhance the system security.
